Freycinet Lodge, Tasmania’s premier resort located within Freycinet National Park on the east coast, successfully integrates high-quality accommodation and facilities in harmony with the environment. The Lodge has won many awards since opening in 1993, both for design and low environmental impact. The Lodge is a two and a half hour drive from either Hobart or Launceston.
The main lodge overlooks Great Oyster Bay with 60 accommodation cabins in private bushland settings. Cabins are spacious with private facilities and balconies and do not have telephones or television, ensuring complete relaxation.
Freycinet National Park is a stunning natural coastal playground with blue crystal waters, white sandy beaches, abundant flora and fauna all set against a spectacular backdrop of pink granite peaks.
Freycinet Lodge embraces the natural activities at its doorstep with a year-round guided activity program including interpretative walks, bird watching, Australian “bush tucker” strolls, stargazing, 4WD tours and more. Cruises, scenic flights, kayaking and penguin tours can be accessed from the Lodge. Each evening a hosted wine tasting is offered in the Lounge and the Lodge’s two restaurants serve some of Tasmania’s finest farm and ocean produce.
