Edenhouse is not a hotel or a lodge but a gracious country home, situated in 48 acres of private grounds with extensive gardens. It is located in the stunning Orinoco Valley, between Nelson and Motueka, within easy reach of the world renowned Abel Tasman National Park.
Edenhouse owners, Peter and Bobbie Martin, personally care for a maximum of six guests with assistance from friendly local staff. This personal commitment, with an emphasis on understated luxury, comfort and relaxation, is the key to a unique Kiwi experience.
Finished and furnished to the highest standards, guests of Edenhouse enjoy spacious bedrooms and large private bathrooms, stylish sitting rooms, formal or informal dining, artists studio, library, sun drenched courtyards and verandahs with amazing views; with the choice of accommodation either within the main house or in the additional privacy of a separate cottage.
Fine New Zealand cuisine is simply prepared from the freshest local - and largely organic - produce and served with award winning wines from nearby vineyards and Edenhouse's own spring water. In addition to Abel Tasman National Park, picturesque vineyards, Motueka River trout fishing, art/craft galleries and spectacular scenery - featuring in the film "Lord of the Rings" - are all close by.
Edenhouse is the only New Zealand property to feature in the 2007 edition of the prestigious UK House and Garden Supplement "Hotels by Design" showcasing 'the most stylish hotels in the world'.
