Bamurru Plains

Surrounded in each direction by the stunning natural wonders of the Northern Territory's Top End, Bamurru Plains' safari style luxury camp provides a most extraordinary Australian wilderness experience.

Just a short distance from the magnificent Kakadu National Park, 9 freestanding raised Safari Bungalows - each with their own ensuite and private shaded verandah, provide a comfortable and tranquil haven from which to enjoy the sights and sounds of the region. Listen to the laugh of the Blue Winged Kookaburras and watch wallabies darting across the wetlands.

Days are easily filled with an exhilarating airboat tour of the Mary River floodplains, a crocodile cruise amongst the mangroves, a fishing trip on the Sampan River in pursuit of the famed barramundi, an open top four wheel drive tour, a lazy afternoon by the infinity pool overlooking the wilderness or a day trip to Kakadu National Park. However you choose to spend the day, it will be richly rewarded with stunning scenery and abundant wildlife - with wallabies, dingoes, crocodiles, wild buffalo and an extraordinary number and variety of birdlife as your neighbours.

And of course, at the end of the day, enjoy a G&T at sunset with your fellow guests as the campfire is lit and your hosts prepare a delicious evening meal with a hint of native produce.

The concept is simple - this is 'wild bush luxury'. The experience is quite simply, unforgettable.

NOTE:  Bamurru Plains is closed between early November and end of January.

For a taste of 'wild bush luxury' by the beach, visit Bamurru Plains' sister property, Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef.
